Arizona Web Website Hosting Provider (Dual in the Desert)

Arizona Web Hosting Standoff

GoDaddy Hosting Logo VS IPOWER Web Hosting Logo
In honor of the recent dual in the desert between Arizona’s two premier college football team; Arizona State University and the University of Arizona I decide to devote a post between two of Arizona’s premier webwebsite hosting companies. So today I am going to be comparing two of Arizona’s largest Web Hosting companies. GoDaddy and IPOWER Located minutes from each other in the valley of the sun GoDaddy’s headquarters is in Scottsdale Arizona. IPOWER bases their operations from downtown Phoenix, Arizona. GoDaddy is easily recognizable due to a large marketing campaign employing celebrities, such as Danica Patrick, Amanda Beard, and Candice Michelle. IPOWER however doesn’t have anyone nearly as sexy in their advertisements, although the model for their current “Rake in Saving” promotion is very cute, but I couldn’t find out anything else about here. Regardless of the cutie in the current promotion if the comparison of these two Arizona Web Hosting companies was based on sexiness alone, obviously GoDaddy stands a head and shoulders above the opponent but lets get down to actual comparisons.

Hosting Infrastructure

GoDaddy andIPOWER use similar load balancing server architecture. Basically this means that all their accounts utilize a bank (think group) of servers instead of relying on a single computer. Load balancing systems are inherently more reliably simply because they require multiple computers to fail before the website hosting account would fail. While if a single server dies, performance would suffer, but its not lights out for the web site.

Control Panels

GoDaddy and IPOWER offer unique control panel solutions. Both web website hosting control panels have been developed in house by each company, meaning the these Arizona web website hosting Companies do not use 3rd party solutions such as cPanel. Both panels offer the same functionality. As far as user friendliness, I personally see this one to be a toss up due to personal preference. If I had to pick though, I find vDeck to be easier to use.

Technical Support

Both companies provide 24/7 technical support services. Personally I have found both support teams to be very helpful quickly resolving my support issues, although it appears my experience is not the same with all customers. Both GoDaddy and IPOWER have had negative reviews, however, I would be surprised if any company of the size of these Arizona website hosting companies did not receive a complaint or two. It seems like both are moderate at resolving Better Business Bureau disputes so I think this is a toss up also

Hosting Market Share

Go Daddy is the clear winner here boasting a much larger customer base and market share.

Current Web Hosting Prices

Right now IPOWER has the cheapest website hosting prices for their premium package. IPOWER is offering their mid-level Pro-Plan for the same price GoDaddy is providing a bare bones economy website hosting package.
With everything else being toss-ups I would say that in a Territorial Cup between these two Arizona web website hosting companies the winner this year would be IPOWER.
